Bio

Chris started his career with PHB in 2013 and now serves as the CEO where he works to guide strategy and engagement for the organization. The purpose of PHB is to develop partnerships with the diagnostic, therapeutic and nutrition industries that improve health through advanced customer products. He believes PHB can best serve this purpose through reliability, preparation, and innovation as an extension of customer’s manufacturing.

Prior to serving as CEO, Chris contributed to several different departments throughout the organization, from basic and clinical R&D, sales support, operations, and ultimately as an executive.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University in 2003 and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from WSU in 2009. During his time at WSU, he was a member of the NIH Protein Biotechnology Program and awarded a NASA space grant. Chris is passionate about WSU and now serves on the board of the Voiland School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering providing insight and support to the faculty and next generation of entrepreneurs and researchers.

Fun fact: Chris was born and raised in rural Alaska where school only closed if the temperature dropped below -50F.
